PNP eyes sanctions vs cops in vax for sale fiasco

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police will have to determine if the lapses committed by investigators on implicating an online businesswoman to the sale of vaccine and inoculation slots merit administrative sanctions.

Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Olay, spokesperson for the PNP, said on Sunday that while the error in the inclusion of Nina Ellaine Dizon-Cabrera, owner of a beauty product online retail company, in the complaint has resulted in the relief of Lt. Col. Arnold Moleta, chief of the PNP criminal investigation and detection group eastern Metro Manila district field unit, possible administrative sanctions for his men are still being looked into.

“What we will determine is if there is malice in her inclusion and other lapses that may merit administrative sanctions against the investigators,” Olay said.
