MANILA, Philippines — Taguig City exceeded for three consecutive days its daily target of vaccinating 6,800 individuals against COVID-19, Mayor Lino Cayetano said in a statement issued on Sunday.
“The supply of vaccines has been good and steady and the city is grateful to the national government for the continuous shipment of vials,” Cayetano said.
In the last three days, the city vaccinated 8,000, 10,000, and 10,000 individuals.
With more vaccines available, Cayetano said the city would now raise its daily vaccination target from 6,800 to 8,000 individuals.
Bu the end of the year, the city aims to inoculate 680,000 individuals.
