MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck off the coast of Surigao del Norte on Sunday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake, according to Phivolcs, occured at 8:51 a.m., with its epicenter traced 49 kilometers northeast of Burgos, Surigao Del Norte.
The earthquake of tectonic origin, had a depth of 2 kilometers.
It was felt at Intensity I was felt in Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
State seismologists assured that no damage and aftershocks are expected.
