MANILA, Philippines —A shipment of 100,000 doses of the Russian-made Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Friday night  via a Qatar Airways flight, the National Task Force against COVID-19 said.

Vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. and Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Marat Pavlov welcomed the arrival of the vaccines, the biggest batch of Sputnik V so far delivered in the country.
