Drug suspect slain in Bulacan buy-bust; P1M ‘shabu’ seized in another operation

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan –– A drug suspect was killed during a buy-bust operation in San Miguel town while P1 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and marijuana were seized from six suspects in another anti-drug operation Friday, June 11.

Bulacan police director Col. Lawrence Cajipe identified the slain suspect as Albert Caldito, who was on the police’s drug watch list.

Investigators said Caldito engaged the lawmen in a shootout while he was being accosted for selling drugs in Barangay Batasan Bata in San Miguel.

Recovered from him were six plastic sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a .38-caliber pistol, and ammunition.

The P1-million shabu weighing 105 grams and marijuana bricks were seized from Michael Mendoza, Vhen Symond Olfindo, Gerry De Guzman, Kristian Licudine, Nicolas Umayam, and Kenneth Sibal, all from Barangay Narra, City of San Jose del Monte.

Ten other drug suspects were arrested after yielding 22 sachets of suspected shabu in a separate operation. INQ
