MANILA, Philippines — Gyms, fitness studios, and indoor non-contact sports venues are now allowed to operate at 30% venue capacity in NCR Plus, Malacañang announced Friday.
However, they must get a safety seal certification first, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said.
He said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases allowed this during a meeting on Thursday.
Indoor non-contact sports venues include skating rinks, racket sports, and the like, Roque added.
Historical sites and museums in NCR Plus are also now allowed at 20% venue capacity, provided they follow health and safety protocols and secure the approval of the local government unit, Roque said.
However, guided tours in these historical sites and museums remain prohibited, he added.
The NCR Plus bubble, which is composed of Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, and Bulacan, is currently under general community quarantine (GCQ) until June 15.
