122 more COVID-19 patients die — DOH
MANILA, Philippines — Health authorities have reported additional 122 COVID-19 deaths, raising the fatality count due to coronavirus to 22,312 as of Thursday.
Data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed that deaths compose 1.72 percent of all the 1.29 million confirmed cases in the country.
Of this figure, 4.4 percent or 56,921 cases remain active.
Of the active cases, 1.7 percent are severe while 1.3 are critical. The rest are mild, asymptomatic, and moderate cases.
Data from the last seven days showed there were a total of 956 deaths reported from June 4 to 10, posting an average of 136 deaths logged per day during the period.
Meanwhile, there are a total of 980 deaths reported by the DOH from May 28 to June 3, or an average of 140 deaths.
