Drug suspect yields P500K ‘shabu’ in Quezon buy-bust
LUCENA CITY — Police nabbed a suspected big-time drug pusher and seized over P500,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Candelaria town in Quezon province Wednesday.
Colonel Joel Villanueva, Quezon police chief, said in a report Thursday that anti-illegal drug operatives collared Jhaziel Garcia, 36, after he sold shabu to a police agent and a civilian informant in Barangay Pahinga Norte around 8 p.m.
Authorities confiscated five sachets of shabu weighing 25.02 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P170,136 and worth P510,408 in the street market.
The police are conducting further investigation to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
The suspect, now detained at the local police jail, is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
