3 more die of COVID-19 in Tarlac City

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga –– Three more people have died of COVID-19 in Tarlac City, its local government information office disclosed Tuesday, June 8.

Those who died of the viral disease were a 54-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man from Barangay Matatalaib, and a 42-year-old man from Barangay Maliwalo.

The city recorded 23 new cases on Tuesday, bringing its total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,857. Of these, 125 had died, while 2,396 have recovered from the disease.

Records show that the villages with the most COVID-19 cases in the city are San Rafael with 281, San Vicente with 265, and Matatalaib with 242.

While Tarlac City’s latest bulletin shows that it has 2,857 total cases, the Tarlac provincial government reported that the city has a total of 2,887 as of Tuesday.

Capas town has the second-highest number of COVID-19 cases in Tarlac at 1,235, followed by Concepcion town at 562, and Paniqui town at 402.
