Lightning kills 2 in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY –– Two men died after lightning struck them in San Fabian town, Pangasinan province Tuesday, police said.

The police identified the victims as Fernando Guntang, 20, and Jeric Soriano, 25.

Initial investigation showed that the two were inside a nipa hut in the middle of a rice field when the lightning struck them around 5:30 p.m.

Their companions brought them to the Region I Medical Center in this city, but doctors declared them dead on arrival.
