Motorcycle rider crashes into ambulance dies in Tagbilaran
TAGBILARAN CITY—A resident in this city died after his motorcycle collided with an ambulance in Barangay Bocton, Balilihan town, Bohol on Monday morning.
Rodyl Calipes Josol was traversing a blind curve in Barangay Boctol on board his motorcycle at around 9 a.m. when he crashed into an ambulance, said Senior Master Sergeant Ralph Renoblas, investigator at Balilihan Police Station.
Josol was on his way to Carmen town to attend an event while the ambulance, which was driven by Obaldo Balag, was transporting a patient to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) in Tagbilaran.
Balag and the patient inside the ambulance were not hurt during the incident.
Josol, on the other hand, suffered several serious wounds to the head and body even though he was wearing a helmet.
