LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation here shortly before midnight Saturday.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena City police chief, identified the arrested suspect as Ronnel Cajarito, alias “Aswang.”
Cajarito was arrested after he sold P500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Cotta around 11 p.m.
Authorities seized four sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of over P25,000 from Cajarito.
A police operative disclosed that reformed former drug users in the village alerted the authorities on the illegal activities of the suspect.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
