6 drug suspects nabbed in separate Camarines busts

LEGAZPI CITY – Six suspected drug suspects were arrested in separate police operations in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte on Friday and Saturday.

Police Colonel Bernardo Perez, Camarines Sur police chief, said Noriel Maniago, 32; Jerald Buenafe, 22; and Julius Delos Santos, 24, were arrested while allegedly sniffing shabu (crystal meth) in Barangay Pagatpat in Calabanga town at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. Seized from the suspects were a sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

In Canaman town, Ronnie Aven, 54, was also arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Agustin at around 8 p.m. on Friday.

Perez said a sachet of shabu worth P500 was confiscated from Aven, who was included in the illegal drugs watch list.

Police Colonel Julius Guadamor, Camarines Norte police chief, said in a report that Mark Clent Nacion, 37, was also arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Itomang in Talisay town at around 9:15 p.m. on Friday. Authorities recovered P7,500 worth of shabu from Nacion.

In Daet town, Emmanuel Nebria, 30, was arrested in a separate buy-bust operation in Barangay IV at around 10:50 a.m.

At least four sachets or P8,000 worth of shabu were recovered from Nebria.
