2 drug suspects busted in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two drug suspects in Tayabas City and Candelaria town in Quezon province on Friday night.

The Quezon provincial police said Jhun Villeza, 31, was collared after he sold a pack of shabu (crystal meth) to a police agent in Barangay Lalo at around 10:50 p.m.

The suspect yielded three plastic sachets of shabu worth an estimated P16,728.

Meantime, motorcycle rider Reynan Babao, 42, sped off after he was accosted in Candelaria town proper for not wearing a facemask and for violation of the curfew rule at around  11:45 p.m.

During the search after a brief chase, police officers found a sachet of shabu worth an estimated P10,200 and drug-using items in Babao’s possession.

The suspects were detained and will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
