CEBU CITY – Cheap tour packages await tourists who want to visit Cebu.
Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia said she would continue to push for the “Suroy-Suroy Sugbo Tour Packages” starting this month.
The tour packages come with a four-day, three-night stay at a destination of choice within Cebu and its islands for a price tag between P7,500 to P12,000 depending on the choice of accommodation. The price includes airfare.
“The Suroy-suroy packages are really aimed at the NCR (National Capital Region) residents. It is a Monday to Thursday tour package. We hope that this will now help our hotels,” Garcia said.
“This opening up to leisure travels again for NCR will be a big boost to our hotels and resorts. We will continue to push for the Suroy-Suroy packages,” she added.
Among the itinerary choices for tourists include the southern adventure tour, which will include whale shark watching and sardine run as well as waterfalls adventure.
The northern escapade tours itinerary, on the other hand, include Bantayan Island beaches or the Malapascua Island tour with a glimpse of thresher sharks.
Leisure travel to Cebu no longer needs a swab test but only a valid medical certificate issued within seven days before travel. The usual symptoms check will only be made at the point of departure as detailed from the Governor’s Executive Order No. 12.
