Davao City to be under MECQ from June 5 to June 20 — Palace

MANILA, Philippines — Davao City will be placed under a stricter modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) starting June 5 to June 20, Malacañang announced Friday.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) approved the proposal to upgrade the quarantine status of the city from general community quarantine (GCQ) to MECQ.

Davao City was earlier placed under GCQ from June 1 to June 30.

Meanwhile, the IATF also upgraded the quarantine status of General Santos City to GCQ from modified GCQ starting June 5 to June 30.
