TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap was inoculated on Thursday with the CoronaVac, a product of Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech.

“I got vaccinated as a demonstration and support for our continued public vaccination against COVID-19. We should not be afraid to get vaccinated because it increases our own protection against COVID-19,” Yap said in a statement posted on Facebook.

Rep. Kristine Alexie Besas-Tutor of Bohol’s 3rd district, was also vaccinated on Thursday at the rural health unit of Candijay town.

Tutor, a licensed physical therapist, urged Boholanos not to fear the COVID-19 vaccines.
