Bohol gov inoculated with CoronaVac

TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap was inoculated on Thursday with the CoronaVac, a product of Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech.
“I got vaccinated as a demonstration and support for our continued public vaccination against COVID-19. We should not be afraid to get vaccinated because it increases our own protection against COVID-19,” Yap said in a statement posted on Facebook.
Rep. Kristine Alexie Besas-Tutor of Bohol’s 3rd district, was also vaccinated on Thursday at the rural health unit of Candijay town.
Tutor, a licensed physical therapist, urged Boholanos not to fear the COVID-19 vaccines.
As of June 1, at least 17,073 individuals were fully immunized out of the 38,494 who chose to be inoculated.
Bohol currently has 4,113 COVID-19 cases with 602 active cases and 58 deaths.
