16 more PNP personnel in Central Luzon infected with COVID-19
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– At least 16 more members of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon were added to the growing list of COVID-19 cases among police personnel, local health data showed.
The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) health service said Thursday that the new cases brought the active infections among its personnel to 187.
In Zambales alone, nine police personnel were the latest to contract COVID-19. Most were infected while on duty.
The PRO3 also reported 10 recoveries from COVID-19, raising to 1,241 the number of patients healed.
So far, five PNP personnel in the region had died of COVID-19.
