MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga –– COVID-19 claimed the lives of 14 patients, including 10 elderly people, in Tarlac province, the provincial government disclosed Wednesday, June 3.
In its COVID-19 update, the Tarlac provincial government said the latest fatalities were aged 65 to 92, who were residents of Tarlac City and the towns of Bamban, San Clemente, Victoria, and Camiling.
The other four deaths were those of a 27-year-old man and 53-year-old woman from Tarlac City and two male residents from Bamban aged 42 and 48.
On June 2, the province registered 84 new cases and a single recovery.
A total of 7,068 persons contracted COVID-19 in the province. Of these, 1,101 remain active, while 5,640 have recovered.
As of Wednesday, 327 patients have died of the viral disease in Tarlac since last year.
Tarlac City, the provincial capital, has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 2,785, followed by Capas town with 1,209, and Concepcion town with 541.
