7-month-old baby contracts COVID-19 in Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY –– A 7-month-old baby girl has tested positive for COVID-19 here, along with 17 other residents, an official said Tuesday.

Citing local health data, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the baby is from Barangay Asinan. It was not immediately known how she contracted the virus.

Of the new cases, the oldest is a 61-year-old woman from West Bajac-Bajac.

Paulino said the active COVID-19 cases had reached 275 while the total number of infections recorded since last year had risen to 2,018.

At least 1,640 patients had recovered from the disease.
