National highway in Bohol town flooded due to Tropical Storm Dante

TAGBILARAN CITY—The national highway in Barangay Tiguis in Lila town, Bohol was flooded on Tuesday afternoon due to heavy rains spawned by Tropical Storm Dante.

The floodwaters rendered the route impassable to all kinds of vehicles.

Police Corporal Roland Nuez of the Anda Police Station said he was on his way to Tagbilaran City when he was stranded at the highway in Barangay Tiguis due to floodwaters.

Tropical storm Dante dumped heavy rains in the area since Monday night.

The road became passable at past 5 p.m., but village officials were still monitoring the area.
