75 new COVID-19 cases logged in 2 Pampanga cities

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga –– This highly urbanized city registered 37 new cases of COVID-19 while the nearby Pampanga’s capital city of San Fernando registered 38 new ones on Sunday, May 30, data from the two local governments showed.

In its latest bulletin, the city government here said a resident died of the viral disease in Barangay Ninoy Aquino, bringing its COVID-19 death toll to 256.

The total number of cases here as of May 30 was 5,861, of which 455 were still active. Some 5,150 COVID-19 patients have also recovered from the disease.

Local health data showed that the City of San Fernando did not record a single death on Sunday. It had a total of 4,819 COVID-19 cases. Of these, 515 remained active.

The number of persons who recovered from COVID-19 in San Fernando has reached 4,150, including 19 residents on May 30. Its total death toll is 154.

In Mabalacat City, the local government announced Monday that it recorded zero deaths and zero new cases of COVID-19 on May 30. It said 45 persons got well, bringing to 2,639 the number of those who recovered from the disease.

The component city has a total of 2,954 COVID-19 cases, of which 285 are still active.

A total of 60 Mabalacat City residents had died of the viral disease. INQ
