Construction worker nabbed for rape case in Puerto Galera

CITY OF CALAPAN –– Police arrested Sunday a construction worker for a rape charge in Puerto Galera town in Oriental Mindoro province.

Colonel Mardito Anguluan, Oriental Mindoro police chief, said Angelo Rabusa, 28, and top three in the town’s list of most wanted persons, was arrested in Barangay Poblacion around 6:30 p.m.

The police were armed with a warrant of arrest dated Nov. 4, 2015, issued by then judge Tomas Leynes of the Regional Trial Court Branch 40 in this city for the crime of rape. Leynes has since retired from the judiciary.

Rabusa is now in the custody of Puerto Galera police.
