Fish vendor arrested in Oriental Mindoro town buy-bust

CITY OF CALAPAN –– A fish vendor was nabbed in a buy-bust operation Sunday night in San Teodoro town in Oriental Mindoro province, according to a police report Monday.

Jhanjie Lieuterio, 41, was arrested by San Teodoro police and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company troops while selling a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) to a poseur buyer for P500 at 8:20 p.m. in Barangay Ilag.

Police also seized two sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing about 0.020 grams and worth P1,500.

The arrested suspect is now under the custody of San Teodoro police while a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002 is being prepared.
