Cops hunt guard who allegedly killed pal in Nueva Ecija
CABANATUAN CITY –– Police have launched a manhunt operation Sunday against a security guard, who allegedly killed a companion and wounded another after an altercation at their post in a subdivision here.
Joseph Tamayao of Barangay Talipapa, at 1:45 a.m., allegedly stabbed to death Billy Joe Salanga and wounded Jaynard Manabat, both security guards, in the vicinity of Don Jose Real Subdivision in Barangay H. Concepcion, investigators said.
Manabat told the police that he and Salanga were sleeping at the guardhouse when the suspect arrived with an undetermined bladed weapon.
Tamayo reportedly hit Manabat first in his left face before stabbing Salanga, prompting Manabat to run for safety.
Responding police found Salanga dead with stab wounds in different parts of his body. ARMAND GALANG
