LEGAZPI CITY –– A village councilman was injured Friday in a shooting incident in Aroroy town in Masbate province.
Colonel Joriz Cantoria, Masbate police director, said in a report that the victim, Anthony Oliva, 65, was painting his motorboat around 7:30 a.m. when three armed men suddenly appeared and shot him in Barangay Don Pablo Dela Rosa.
Oliva, a councilman of Don Pablo Dela Rosa, suffered gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and was rushed to the Aroroy Municipal Hospital for treatment.
Police investigators were still determining the identities of the suspect, who immediately fled following the incident. INQ
