3 Pampanga cities register 11 new COVID-19 deaths

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The three cities in this province recorded 11 deaths related to COVID-19 on Thursday (May 27).

Local health data showed that six people in this city lost their battles against the viral disease, while four also died in the City of San Fernando, and one in Angeles City.

The Mabalacat City Health Office reported that one of the new fatalities here was from Barangay Mabiga, another from San Joaquin, two from Mawaque, and two more from Barangay Sapang Biabas.

This city recorded 23 new cases, bringing to 337 its active ones out of the total 2,953 confirmed patients.

The new COVID-19 deaths in the City of San Fernando include a resident of Barangay Del Pilar, another from Sta. Lucia, and two from San Nicolas. Some 152 individuals had died of COVID-19 in the city.

The capital city has 503 active cases, including the 20 new ones. It has recorded 4,742 total cases as of May 27.

In Angeles City, a COVID-19 patient from Barangay Pulung Cacutud had died, bringing to 254 the number of individuals who succumbed to the disease in the city. It recorded 23 new cases on Thursday.

As of May 27, the city has 5,781 total COVID-19 cases, of which 458 remain active. INQ
