Hot weather with isolated rain showers expected in PH on Friday

MANILA, Philippines — Even with isolated rain showers, the Philippines will have a generally hot weather on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.

The state weather bureau said fair weather is expected in Luzon region except for isolated rain showers usually in the afternoon due to thunderstorms.

Nonetheless, Pagasa said hot weather is still expected especially in the afternoon with maximum temperature in Tuguegarao City reaching 39 degrees Celsius, and Metro Manila at 35 degrees Celsius.

Maximum temperature in Laoag is seen to reach 34 degrees Celsius while areas such as Legazpi may expect temperature as high as 33 degrees, said Pagasa.

Meanwhile, the state weather bureau reported that hot weather with isolated rainshowers is also expected in Visayas and Mindanao especially in the afternoon and evening.

Pagasa is also monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It may enter PAR by Sunday or Monday next week.

Pagasa Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section chief Ana Liza Solis on Wednesday said that the country may be one or two weeks away from the rainy season, despite the recent streak of hot and humid weather.
