MANILA, Philippines — The Senate on Thursday approved on third and final reading a bill that seeks to amend Republic Act No. 10742 or the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Reform Act of 2015, including granting youth officers monthly stipend.
Senate Bill No. 2124 also seeks to further empower the SK by addressing the various issues that have been raised about the youth organization, according to Sen. Juan Edgardo Angara, the bill’s principal sponsor.
The proposed law seeks to grant monthly honoraria to the SK council members, secretaries, and treasurers.
