MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Tuesday said rainshowers caused by isolated thunderstorms are likely to occur in the afternoon and evening, even as the heat and humidity is expected to persist throughout the country.

This is due to the Pacific easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, according to Pagasa in its weather bulletin issued at 4 a.m.

(Most pats of the country will continue to experience hot and humid weather.)

(As the afternoon and evening come, there is a big chance of isolated thunderstorms.)

People are then advised to carry water to stay hydrated, as well as an umbrella to protect themselves from the sun and the occasional thunderstorms.

While the majority of the country will experience the same hot and humid weather, rainshowers are more likely to occur in parts of Mindanao, specifically, in the Caraga and Davao region.

(It will be rainy in the Caraga and Davao regions, because of the easterlies.)
