3 drug suspects killed in separate buy-busts in Bulacan

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan–Three suspected drug traders were killed after they reportedly engaged policemen in a shootout in San Ildefonso town at dawn on Saturday (May 22).

Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director, identified one of the slain suspects as alias “Dagul” who resisted arrest after he was caught selling alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent in Barangay Pinaod around 1:20 a.m.

The suspect and his unidentified companion fired shots at the policemen who shot back. Both suspects died instantly.

Recovered from them were 11 sachets containing shabu worth P264,000, a .45-caliber pistol, a .38-caliber pistol, assorted ammunition, a magazine, and a black Toyota Vios.

At about 1:30 a.m. on the same day, Noe Ababa alias Dondon was killed during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sumandig.

Recovered from him were a .38-caliber revolver and 15 sachets of shabu.

His unidentified companion managed to escape on board a motorcycle, police said.

In separate anti-narcotics operations, certain Joey Tan and Mark Gil Busa were also arrested after yielding 10 sachets of shabu in the towns of Calumpit and Pulilan. INQ
