20 new cases added to Zambales’ COVID-19 tally

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 20 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were added to the province’s tally on Saturday (May 22).

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said among the new patients were minors aged 9-12 while some were senior citizens.

Most of the other new cases were exposed to their virus-infected family members or co-workers.

At least 11 patients were also recovered from the disease on the same day, raising the total recoveries to 1,901.

The province’s death toll related to COVID-19 remains at 53.

Bueno said Zambales now has 2,125 total COVID-19 cases, 170 of which remain active.
