TACLOBAN CITY – A lawmaker from Eastern Visayas has opposed the move of the government not to disclose the brand of the COVID-19 vaccine being used at vaccination sites.
While he understood the reason behind it, An Waray party-list Rep. Florencio Noel said people have the right to choose which vaccine will be used.
“For me, the public should know the brand of the vaccine that will be injected to them. We should have our own preference and choice of the vaccine,” he said.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in Eastern Visayas continues to increase as it recorded 107 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, May 21, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
The region currently has 19,624 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started last year.
