7 succumb to COVID-19 in 2 Pampanga cities

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga –– Seven people here and in the capital city of San Fernando have died of COVID-19, local health data showed.

The latest COVID-19 monitoring update on Thursday showed that the fatalities include two residents of Barangay Dau and one each in Dapdap, Duquit, and San Francisco villages, all in Mabalacat.

The total active COVID-19 cases here also jumped to 354 after 13 new ones were reported Thursday.

At least 2,425 patients had also recovered out of the city’s 2,829 cases. Its death toll had reached 50.

The City of San Fernando has two new COVID-19 fatalities as of May 20. They are a resident of Barangay Dolores and another from Barangay Malino.

The city had recorded 4,504 COVID-19 cases since last year, and 631 of these remain active.

Some 3,734 patients in the city had recovered from COVID-19, while 139 had died. INQ
