Trade facilitation committee created
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has created the Philippine Trade Facilitation Committee which would streamline customs and enable micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to be more involved in international trade.
In Executive Order No. 136, Duterte noted that the World Trade Organization-Trade Facilitation Agreement, which the Philippines ratified, requires each member state to maintain a national committee on trade facilitation to ease domestic coordination and implementation of the agreement.
