LUCENA CITY –– Two drug suspects were killed in buy-bust operations in Cavite province on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Calabarzon regional police reported that Edwin Callos died in a sting operation that ended in a firefight in Barangay Granados in General Mariano Alvarez town around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
The police reportedly found from the slain suspect one caliber .38 revolver loaded with three bullets.
Callos allegedly yielded two sachets of shabu (crystal meth) weighing six grams and worth about P40,000 in Dangerous Drugs Board value.
On Wednesday, Col. Marlon Santos, Cavite police chief, also reported the death of drug suspect Aldrin Singcosa alias “Bumbay.”
He said Singcosa was killed after he engaged the policemen in a firefight in Barangay Punta 1 in Tanza town.
Authorities reportedly recovered from the slain suspect a Colt MK4 caliber .45 pistol with serial number, a Colt MK4 caliber .45 pistol without a serial number, two magazines with 10 bullets, and four fired bullet cases.
The police said they also found 13 sachets of shabu weighing 25 grams worth P60,000 in the street market, 100 grams of marijuana worth P33,000, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
