6 suspects nabbed, P442,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Albay drug stings
LEGAZPI CITY –– Police anti-narcotics operatives nabbed on Wednesday at least six suspected drug pushers and seized P442,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate drug stings in Albay.
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said the drug operations yielded 65 grams of shabu.
In Tabaco City, police armed with a search warrant raided at about 8:30 p.m. a house in Barangay Sto Cristo and arrested Roberto Buen, a high-value target (HVT) alleged drug pusher; and Alfon Bonto, Rommel Burial, Salvado Pongran, and Mark Joshua Metra.
The search yielded 10 sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams worth P102,000, the report said.
In Legazpi City, Gilbert Adornado of Barangay Bitano was collared around 1:30 p.m. after police serving a search warrant seized from his residence six sachets and a bag of shabu weighing 50 grams worth P340,000.
The arrested suspects will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
