Robredo receives AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday received her first dose of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine in Quezon City.

In a Facebook post, Robredo said she was inoculated along with other staff from her office, who fall under the A3 priority group or persons with comorbidities, at Pinyahan Elementary School in Quezon City.

“Done with my 1st dose of the vaccine. Now being monitored. Everything has been seamless,” Robredo said.

“We booked at QC Protektodo site via EZ Consult last May 13 for an appointment today. 18 of us from OVP [Office of the Vice President], all A3s went together. Yung ibang mga kasama ko today yung mga nag urong sulong nung nakaraan,” she added.

Robredo previously disclosed she has hypertension.

“Magbakuna na din kayo para protektado kayo at ang lahat ng nakakasalamuha niyo. Tingnan niyo yung group pic namin. Maraming takot sa umpisa pero may konting yabang na nung nagpakuha ng litrato,” Robredo said.

(Have yourselves vaccinated so we could protect ourselves and other people we engage with. Look at our group photo, many of them were scared at first but now they have a little pride when our photos were taken.)

The AstraZeneca jab is administered in two doses 12 weeks apart.
