3 more patients die of COVID-19 in Tarlac

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga –– Two older women and a 44-year-old man died of COVID-19 in Tarlac province on Monday, May 17.

In its latest update, the Tarlac provincial government said the fatalities were two 63-year-old female residents of Barangay Palimbo Proper in Camiling town and Barangay Santiago, Concepcion; and a male resident of Barangay Amacalan in Gerona.

On the same day, Tarlac also recorded 97 new COVID-19 cases and four recoveries.

Of the new cases, 32 are from Tarlac City, which has the highest recorded COVID-19 patients in the province at 3,210 infections. The city also logged 93 deaths related to COVID-19.

The patients, who recovered from COVID-19 in Tarlac recently, include a 34-year-old man from Capas; a 33-year-old woman, and a 31-year-old man from Sta. Ignacia; and a 23-year-old man from Ramos.

As of May 16, Tarlac has 6,012 COVID-19 cases with 1,404 of them still battling the disease.

At least 4,332 COVID-19 patients have also recovered from the disease, while 277 had died.
