4 drug suspects fall in Lucena; P630k worth of shabu seized

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested four drug suspects and seized over P630,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a series of buy-bust operations here on Monday and Tuesday.

In a report to Colonel Ericson Dilag, Quezon police chief, Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, identified the arrested suspects as Juaquinito Ayangco, 27; John Mark Nepales, 25; Mary Joe Zorca, 38; and Romualdo Villanueva, 47.

Anti-illegal drug operatives collared Villanueva after selling shabu to a police agent acting as a drug user in a transaction inside a subdivision in Barangay Ilayang Iyam around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities confiscated two sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams with a street value of P204,000.

Earlier, Zorca was also arrested in another sting operation in Barangay 8 around 11 p.m. Monday.

The suspect yielded 10 grams of shabu which is also worth P240,000 in the street market.

A police team busted Nepales in Barangay 1 around 9 p.m. He was carrying two sachets of meth that weighed 4.89 grams worth P99,756.

Authorities caught Ayangco in Barangay 11 around 7:30 p.m. Monday with six grams of shabu worth P122,400.

The suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.#
