2 babies, 3 kids, 3 elderlies contract COVID-19 in San Pablo City

LUCENA CITY –– Forty new COVID-19 cases were recorded in San Pablo City Sunday, bringing the total number of active ones in the city to 420, health authorities said.

The city’s Anti-COVID-19 Task Force reported in a 6 p.m. bulletin that among the new virus carriers are an 8-month-old girl, a 7-month-old boy, and three boys, aged 1, 7, and 8.

Authorities also reported that two women and a man, aged 66 to 88 – got infected by SARS-Cov2, the virus that causes the disease.

The report also said a 3-month-old boy, a 9-year-old boy, and a 73-year-old woman were among the 11 patients who have recovered from COVID-19.

San Pablo, which is now under general community quarantine with “heightened restrictions” until May 30, has logged 2,900 COVID-19 cases and 2,383 recoveries since March last year.

The death toll in the city stands at 97.
