MANILA, Philippines — Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may still occur in the country on Monday afternoon and evening even as hot and humid weather is expected to persist due to the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Based on Pagasa’s weather bulletin issued at 4 a.m., the easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean continue to affect the weather in the country.
