MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Calatagan, Batangas and nearby areas on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 11:04 a.m., with the epicenter located 13 kilometers southwest of Calatagan.
The quake, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of 94 kilometers.
Phivolcs said it is not expecting any damage and aftershocks following the earthquake.
