ANGELES CITY –– Three Nigerian men were arrested during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Cutcut here, police said Thursday

Authorities identified the arrested suspects as Harrison Steve alias “Eke”, 43; Christian Uwadiegwu, alias “Chuk”, 27; and Caleb Njemonze, 28.

Joint personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Angeles City, City Drug Enforcement Unit and City Intelligence Unit of the local police, and Police Station 5 carried out the operation Tuesday.

The police also took the Toyota Camry (ZMN 674) and Mazda 2 (RMY 522) cars used by the Nigerians when they allegedly sold illegal drugs to the undercover policemen.

Investigators said the three suspects are members of the “Mr. Izo” drug group being investigated by the CIDG for its alleged involvement in gunrunning, illegal drug trafficking, and related illegal activities in this city and nearby areas.
