CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan –– The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Central Luzon on Wednesday rescued three minors used as illegal drug couriers in this city during a buy-bust operation.

The PDEA operatives conducted an entrapment operation against a certain “Abdul” based on reports of the rampant illegal drug trade at Pleasant Hill Subdivision in Barangay San Manuel.

But three boys aged 12 and 13 surfaced during the operation and yielded 100 grams of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P680,000.

Investigation revealed that Abdul instructed the three minors to deliver the illegal substances inside the subdivision and promised to pay them for their services.

The boys will be turned over to the City of San Jose del Monte Social Welfare and Development Office.

Abdul, who is at large, will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
