Magnitude 3.6 quake jolts Basilan town

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A 3.6-magnitude quake struck 21 kilometers southeast of Hadju Muhammad Ajul town in Basilan at 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 11.

The quake, which had a depth of focus of 18 kms was tectonic in origin and had no reported aftershock and damages, according to Engr. Rommel Allan Labayog of Phivolcs Zamboanga.

It was felt at Intensity II here and in Isabela City, Labayog said.
