SAN ANTONIO, Zambales–At least 20 more patients in Olongapo City have recovered from COVID-19, reducing the number of active cases to 180 as of Monday (May 10), an official said.
In an advisory, Olongapo Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the new recoveries raised to 1,366 the total number of patients who survived the disease which has no known cure yet.
The figure reflects an 84.37-percent recovery rate in the city, which logged 1,619 COVID-19 cases since 2020.
On Sunday (May 9), the city registered 191 active infections
At least nine new COVID-19 cases were also recorded in Olongapo on Monday. These patients are aged 23-69.
For three consecutive days, the city has not registered any COVID-19 deaths, which remained at 73.
