SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The number of active COVID-19 in Olongapo City had reached 191 on Sunday (May 9) with seven new infections, an official said.
Citing health data, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr., said among the new cases are a 75-year old businessman with a history of travel to Pangasinan and his 79-year-old wife.
The couple had tested positive for the virus on May 8.
Two workers in a private company inside the Subic Bay Freeport were also added to the list after they were exposed to infected co-workers.
The three others are two workers in the city and one who was exposed to his infected family member.
So far, Olongapo has 1,610 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started last year.
Of these cases, 1,346 had recovered from the disease and 73 had died.
