LUCENA CITY –– An 18-year-old male was shot and killed after he refused to give up his mobile tablet in a robbery incident on Sunday night, the police said Monday.
Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report that Angelo Andes was with his friend Jomar Micmic when they encountered two male robbers Barangay Mayao Parada around 7 p.m.
One of the robbers tried to grab the victim’s Cherry mobile tablet, but the latter fought back, prompting the attacker to shoot him on his head with a handgun of still unknown caliber.
The victim died on the spot while the assailant and his companion escaped with the stolen gadget.
